Friday 2/10 we will experience a lunar penumbral eclipse; not as dramatic as an umbral eclipse but might be an interesting event to photograph. The image shows where the eclipse will be visible and was copied from www.timeanddate.com

It's times like this I wish I had a better camera and a tripod. I set the old p&s on night and prop it on the plant stand, but that doesn't seem to do the job. LOL

If your P&S doesn't have a method for remote shutter release consider using a "selfie" delay usually 2 sec or a 10 sec normally used to place yourself in a group shot.
