I never did make it to the Rose Gardens this week, but here's a rose from someone else's garden.

Thanks for the theme Sepiana. I may end up posting a couple this week because I live in the Rose City and we do have a beautiful Rose Test Garden overlooking the city. But for today your theme sent me off to the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. It's an oasis of peace and calm in the middle of the city. This was taken with my Fuji X100T which has a 3-stop ND filter built in. Exif is ISO100, f14, 3.5 seconds with the ND filter in place. This was a perfect start to a day which will end up with fireworks and craziness, so I appreciate getting off to a lovely start.

Thanks for the open theme Sepiana .. I'm going to go with Lifeguard Shack because I don't think I've ever seen it as a theme before.

Is anyone else having problems with the photo uploader? I'll try again tomorrow.

This old train station is a relic of the past. Once upon a time it stood where many train lines intersected and large rail yards abound. Nowadays it is just a historic attraction.
Holy cow ... the stories in this! Great shot.

Thanks for the fun theme Sepiana ... I'm enjoying everyone's entries! I went with some classic chrome passenger stock from the old Willamette and Pacific Line.

Thanks for the timely theme Sepiana. Remembering (and thanking) all of the men and women who sacrificed for their countries.

Thanks for this theme Sepiana ... it's definitely one that requires thought, and the interpretations have been great. I was going to take the easy rout and just shoot a photo of the closet where I keep my pads of $100 bills, but then I remembered I don't have one of those. Amatuer sport photographers are rarely compensated with a salary; compensation and reward is given in access. Over the years shooting roller derby teams from around the world I've earned what is essentially unlimited access to the sport. It didn't come easy, and I don't take it for granted for a moment, but I've got access, and I consider myself very wealthy for it. This is Angel City Derby Girls pivot, Micki Krimmel, keeping hydrated on the bench between jams at a tournament this weekend.
