Your wonderful story about your brother Dave made me smile. What a lovely tribute to someone who knew how to fix and make things right. I have an older brother just like this, Mum once found him taking her iron apart so he could see how it worked, he still fixes things for his neighborhood friends.

Over the weekend we went on some questionable roads, single lane, gravel surfaces and around some very tight corners. Either someone has ditched this piano on purpose or it has fallen off the back of a truck, either way it's played its last tune.

I love your presentation Clive, really shows off the bird and his ability to access that piece of dried fruit! Your uncluttered background is perfect.

Am I correct in assuming that the cockatoo was not part of any zoo or preserve, jackscrap ? Right Helen, completely wild in a park, allowed me to get quite close for this photo.

I think those birds must have an extraordinary sense of spatial awareness, how is it they don't collide and take one another out is one of the great mysteries. What a fabulous image.

Then I had to google what the card game Rook was, You're just kidding..., right ...?
I didn't think there was a human alive that hadn't ever played Rook. No, I never kid about card games.

I love these flowers, had to go out and see what my plant was up to, sadly nothing yet, usually flower in the middle of the year here. Then I had to google what the card game Rook was, enjoyed BuckSkin’s story.
