This update was available for my laptop installation with Win 10 but not for my desktop installation which has Mac High Sierra.
I must say that the availability of this update makes me wonder if there will be a PSE 2019.
Adobes' past actions with Lightroom have made me cynical I guess.

Thanks Sepiana and Andrei.
I actually do not want to work in LAB mode. I only wish to read the LAB values using the info pane.
I just finished watching a series of videos on Luminous Landscape about master photographer and printer Charles Cramer and how he works. This is an excellent series. In post processing he shows how he uses LAB values in different areas of an image to predict how it will print. He is working in an RGB color space but full Photoshop gives you an option to read the values in LAB as well as RGB.
LAB values for "L" of 4-6 are the deepest tones that will show any detail in a shadow. I have since learned that RGB values of 10-25 are roughly equivalent.
Yes, I have PSE 12 and have used SmartCurves plugin in LAB but I wish to work 64 bit editions of PSE now.

Are there any plugins which allow you to measure the LAB color values of areas of your image in PSE?

I just wanted to clarify and verify what I've discovered in my experience installing Elements on one computer but having more than one user account having access. Even though it is a single installation on a single computer, even with a dozen or more "user"s, it still just counts as one of your allowed two installations, right ? I believe so, as long as it's only one user accessing the software at a time.

1. Edit-Preferences is unique to each user.
2. Workspace preferences and panel locations are unique for each user.
3. Loaded actions are unique to each user.
4. Upgrades and updated Camera Raw versions are common to all users.
5. Third party filters and plugins are common to all users.
6. Organizer libraries are unique for each user.
Have I missed anything?

You need to visit Andrew Rodney's site, digitaldog.net/, to find examples to demonstrate the possible advantages to working with high bit images.

Norton Security does not like your file. I had to temporarily disable it to install the update.

The "Curves" feature is not included with Photoshop Elements. Yes, Elements+ includes it.

Do you have to repurchase when you upgrade to a newer version of PSE? Bayla I was sent a link to download the new version of Elements+ for PSE13 but it looks like you have to pay full price for upgrading to Elements+ for PSE14. The price is so reasonable I think this is a fair policy. Allan

It is necessary to install the profile. You do this by right-clicking on the profile file and selecting 'install'.

US price for Upgrade is $79.99 ; UK price for Upgrade is £64.81 So, in US, you are paying the equivalent of only £52.69 to upgrade When will organisations sort out this pricing? It's not as if it's due to delivery charge as it's a download! It's probably due to your VAT being added.
