Helen -
I haven't noticed that to be true. I just tried it.

It may depend on how the drive was formatted. Do you know? What's your operating system?

Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for this image (click to enlarge). [Image from Unsplash]

Julie -
I haven't worked with either program, but I think it's a good bet that Premiere Elements is far more full-featured (with the accompanying steeper learning curve) than the Windows app.

I hope everyone understands that this feature is a plug-in for this forum that was developed by someone else. As such, we have very little control over it, other than requesting changes from the developer.

There's another, perhaps easier way to quote part of a post. Highlight the text you want to quote - you'll see a little box come up that says "Quick quote". Click on it, then hit reply and the quote will appear at the top of your new post.

Julie -
They all seem to work for me.
Have you tried the simple things, like restarting the program? i notice that sometimes, for no apparent reason, keyboard shortcuts don't seem to work. Re-starting seems to help. I'm on WIn7.

What are the shortcuts, Julie? I'll try them.

Ah. When you wrote the oval shape I didn't realize you were talking about an oval selection of the background photo.

Um, I'm not sure how that would work if you're deleting the background layer (actual picture)?

Hi Billie Jean - DeviantArt has a FAQ on their copyright policy. It is very general copyright info. You can find it here. My inference is that all of the material on their site is copyrighted.

Finally got it going (no idea what the problem was, of course, but I had to try the installer about 5 times before it worked).
It's definitely a limited use plug-in, but I'm sure it'll look great on an appropriate photo. And the price was certainly right! Thanks again.

Should you be thinking of purchasing a Topaz Labs product, right now you can get 35% off by using the Coupon Code: TOPAZ2015. Additionally, you get an additional $20 off by using this link to enter the Topaz Labs site: $20 off any Topaz plugin!I just did it and it was $12.49 for a plugin that usually goes for $49.99! Thanks, Tom! Just got the Star Effects plug-in (normally $29.99) and between the $20 off and the discount coupon it was free! On the other hand, it won't install, but that will get solved.

Julie -
There are about a dozen Topaz plug-ins that sell for a variety of prices, from $29.99 to $99.99. You can also buy the whole suite - the list price is $499.99.
