Hi Sepiana,
I copy/pasted the "Google" folder from PSE 9 to PSE 2018. After I did that my Topaz plug-ins disappeared from PSE 2018 with no NIK software.

Have decided to upgrade from PSE 9 to PSE 2018 for no other reason except to get ACR update for my .orf files from Olympus gear. I'm tired of having to first go to the Adobe DNG converter. I have downloaded a trial version of PSE 2018 and have successfully been able to add my Topaz plug-ins into PSE 2018. However, I'm having no luck adding my NIK plug-ins. Can someone provide me with guidance. Lastly, will I be able to access both the Topaz and NIK plug-ins. Seems PSE 2018 only allows me to select one folder in the "Preferences > Plug-ins". Thanks for the help.

Downloaded the trial version, watched a few videos on it and have to say "Wow". Lots of features, easy to use - at least the basics to try out. I was hooked. Unfortunately, my PC is at the minimum requirements end and On1 Photo Raw 2018.1 just ran too slow and sluggish. Maybe next PC upgrade I'll try again. Too bad, it's nice.

I have had the same problem for years and searched and contacted Adobe for help without success. I just gave up. Today I found this post on my daily visit, tried the solution, and my PSE9 is perfect ! Thanks Sepiana, you are truly a PSE genius.

Here's a recent image I post-processed and applied texture to using a new photo-editing software program, Smart Photo Editor. Included the "before & after" versions.

I like ON1 products and have used their Effects 9 and 10 programs with success. Unfortunately, my trial version of their ON1 Photo 2017 ran very slow despite my PC meeting all minimum requirements. I had hoped to switch over from my PSE9 since it doesn't provide RAW support for my Fuji and Olympus cameras. Still considering other options.

Hi again,
Checked and I do have ACR Ver 6.5.0.216
In PSE9 Organizer I select a jpeg image to "Fix - full photo edit. The image appears in the Editor. I then select click "File" > "Open As" and select my image filename and "Open As" Camera Raw and click "Open".
The ACR does not activate and nothing happens as far as the ability to use ACR for editing.

I cannot get my PSE 9 to edit a jpeg image using ACR. Nothing happens ? Is there something that needs to be checked in the preferences menu ?
I followed these steps from an earlier post in this topic :
You don’t need Elements+ to open a .jpeg file in the Raw Converter. Photoshop Elements is quite capable of doing it.
In Elements 7 -- Go to File>Open As . . . Camera Raw In Elements 12 -- Go to File>Open in Camera Raw
As to the "Done" and "Save Image" buttons in the Raw Converter . . . Done = Apply changes and dismiss dialog without opening image. Open Image = Apply changes and open image. Alt-click to open image without updating image metadata.
Thanks as always for the help and guidance.

Sepiana, would you mind posting instructions on how to install the HDR Efex Pro 2 ? I use PSE 9 and being able to access HDR Efex 2 directing from PSE would be so convenient. Thank you for this tip and your help.

Here is a pic of the set-up I use. I catch snowflakes on a pane of glass, look for a good specimen, and take the image. I learned of this technique from a fellow photographer on the PentaxForums.com website and this is the image he posted of his set-up. This is my first try using this arrangement and is still a work in progress. More images of his outstanding snowflakes can be seen on this link, www.flickr.com/photos/fwwidall/sets/72157603415282264/upload image

Hi Sepiana, This is what I get. How can I go from a dark to light gradient with a gradual change instead of that distinct line ? Thanks for your help.

I'd like to improve the look of my snowflake images. Right now the background lighting is uniform and flat. I'd like to create a diagonal gradient using PSE 9 to have a dark corner and a lighter corner on my images. Also, having a diagonal gradient with different colors may be interesting. Problem is I just don't know how to do this. I would definitely appreciate any instruction and help. Thanks. image host
