I'm not sure what happened to my message--it suddenly disappeared. Thanks, Christell, for including my sunset. Congratulations to the makers of the other runner-up images--all of them exceptional. Most of all, congratulations to Tom for his masterful Alaska Shoreline. A well-deserved Image of the Week! Angela

I like Topaz B&W too, but my other favourite is MacPhun's Tonality Pro. agg

Bayla I can't comment on PSE Organiser because I never did use it, but my experience with Lightroom has been excellent, both for organising and for editing. I would like to suggest that, if you have time, and before you begin with LR, it would be a good idea to watch Tim Grey's excellent video on getting started: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSwkDC3q7uk The video is for LR 5 but all the same principles apply. I should warn that it's a long video, but the explanations are very clear. Good luck--I hope you enjoy using LR. AngelaG

There's no accounting for individual tastes/preferences. Those who don't want to use LR, don't have to. It's that simple. agg

I tend to agree with Simone. It could be that JWC7 looked at an older version of Lightroom. There have been so many recent additions to its editing capabilities that it's rare that I have to move beyond it for basic editing. As for organisation, I think it's the best--I'm always able to locate even images taken years ago with no trouble. agg

Ron Thanks for including my flower picture, and also for providing it with a great title! Congratulations to all the other "honourable mentions", and especially to Tom, for an outstanding Image of the Week. It provided so many of us with a reminder of childhood memories of Bill and Ben. agg

Here's another book you may want to check out: Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for Photographers: Classroom in a Book by Jan Kabili. The official training workbook from Adobe. Adobe Press.
I really enjoy my subscription to Adobe CC and hope you will too. agg

Where are you, Al, now that we need you... At first we thought this was a Hutton's Vireo, but we're now thinking possibly a Least Flycatcher. Any ideas?

Simone Thank you for including my image among your picks this week. I'm so pleased that it was chosen alongside such accomplished images by Judy, Reg, Srmoment and Jackscrap. Angela

Helen--I sympathise. I used the settings recommended in the video and was very disappointed with my results. On the other hand, your second image is a winner! The colours are beautiful, and you captured the surf perfectly.
I think I read somewhere that there's another super moon later this month, and perhaps by that time we'll both be over our exasperation and ready to try again. agg
