If you have the Background layer activated, do Select>All, and apply the stroke, what you describe will happen -- "Interestingly, though, the little thumbnail for that layer has a red border! But not on the main picture."Why is that? (Great sleuthing, by the way.)

Reading your message more carefully, I see you are using Select All. Are you aware that this is selecting the entire periphery of your frame, and no tthe rectangle itself?

I can't see what resetting the tools would have to do with this, to be honest. Maybe try this. Create a new layer. Make your selection on the original layer, then go back to (select) the new layer and try the stroke again. Does it show on the new layer?.

Billie Jean -
The info link you listed indicates Firefox will be losing support for ALL plug-in by the end of 2016. I read their explanation, and its above my head, but I don't think this is good news. I have several plug-ins I value highly.

Storm - Once you have filled out your form, look at the left hand of the pdfescape screen, and you'll see some icons. Click on the one I've shown here: You'll then get a dialog box where have the opportunity to select which pages to print.

A selection is made no matter which layer you make it on, so make it on a non-adjustment layer and the problem should go away.

Boy, some great interpretations here!
Ritage - Great imagination!
Sepiana - Well done and certainly evocative of a certain blockbuster film.
Frank - Yet another fabulous animation, flawlessly executed.
BillieJean - Very sci-fi comic-bookish. Like.
Verber10 - Interesting and thought-provoking! And I like the comet!

Good idea, Tom. I just added the FAQ (please take a look and see if it makes sense to you.)

Have you ever started writing a post, then gone to check something somewhere else on the forum, only to lose your partially-written post? You can fix that. Just edit your profile, and look for this item under Settings: Set it to "Yes". (It's set to "No" by default.) Then be sure to click on "Save account settings". Now you can come back to the thread you were writing on and when you do, you'll see something like this: Just click "yes" and you're back in your original message. Also, if you are writing a post and forget to actually post it, this feature will warn you before you try and create another post. Neat-o, huh?

Tom -
That should be it. I had mine set to off. Let's see....
Yep - it works. Thanks. Is it supposed to dump you into Quick Reply instead of the normal Reply box?
