Sorry, I don't have 12 so I can't check this for you.

Marianne -
I do not experience your problem. I can either drag a frame over the image or double-click on the frame with the image open - both work.
Which version of PSE are you using?

Tony -
Yes, most of the frames are downloaded when you first click on them. The thing with these problem frames is that when you click on them, you get the error message. Also, the ones that download when you click on them show up as thumbnails with a little blue triangle in the corner (that indicates they need downloading). The problem ones don't - they're just black squares as I described.

I was fooling around with the supplied frames (Graphics panel | Frames) for the first time today, and the first 20 frames listed are called Frames 1 thru 20 and appear as black boxes with the name in white type, as opposed to all the other frames that appear as thumbnails. When I click on one of them, I get the error message "Could not complete your request because the file was not a valid frame file."
Anyone know what's going on here?

Um. how did you copy the contents to a USB drive if you didn't have a CD drive?

Sure, but paper copies fade, and external hard drives (all hard drives) fail at some point. .

It's impossible to know what storage media will be in use many years from now. The best you can hope to do is store them safely now, and possibly transfer them to a newer medium in the future. For now, CD-Roms and DVDs are good choices.

Marianne -
You could delete the action from your hard drive and it will stay in PSE12, but personally, I always keep them. Why? Because they take very little room and it enables me to load them in future versions of PSE.

It is quite possible this action does not work in Elements 7. Why not drop him a PM and find out for sure? His user name here is Panos.

It may be that you were accidentally (or you purposely) logged out. If so, you will not see the geographical location.

At the top of the thread page on the right you'll see a pull-down menu titled actions. Under actions is Share Thread, and under that is an option to email - email it to yourself.
