A unique Angle of view. Looking out on the world from under the earth? Here is the photo my sister took of me while I was working on the one above:

Nice vantage point and beautiful light, preeb . I caught it last evening just at the start of the "Golden Hour".

Kind of messy, but I loved the little groups of bubbles. Taken looking almost straight down into this backwater area along the South Platte River.

I picked the right time to go out in the yard with my 100-400 lens to shoot Bees (I hadn't even seen this week's subject yet). They swarm all over the Russian Sage around the patio. I took about 200 photos to get 2 that were decent. Here's one:

Most rural roads in Alberta are gravel. Generally, the farms are large and rural population is low and it would cost billions to pave them all. There are paved roads every few miles that connect to secondary roads and primary highways. Most unusual to see three vehicles going down this particular road...I drive past it most days. Roads around here are the same, and for the same reasons, it's all farm and ranch country, with small towns dotted around. My town is just 400 people. This is old photo... not for the current theme.

Thanks Vicki. Starting tomorrow, I'll be starting a new era. Really excited to get out and put my new Canon R5 mirrorless to work. I've been dreaming of this one for a couple of years now.

It's not yet midnight yet here, so I'll post this. A bit of a caveat - it was actually taken a week early, but I was on vacation partly with the intent of shooting for this site, so I did a lot of different ideas. Then when I got home, my computer hard drive crashed the first day I was back and I just got it repaired and back up and running yesterday. I didn't get Lightroom reinstalled and connected to my catalog until this morning, so I didn't get the photos from the week before developed until this morning. Anyway, C is for Cactus - to wit a Prickly Pear Cactus in bloom (and a second one for good measure):

Not my best photo, but it slides in on the edge of the category. This is my confirmation that "Fitness" can be subjective. On October 1, 2021, that scale displayed 316. 33 weeks and 69 pounds later this is the reality - I feel 100 times better than I did a year ago. Comparing now to then, I'm more "fit" than I've been for 20+ years. (I don't know why it makes my feet look fat... they are actually pretty bony these days.)

"One is the loneliest number" (thanks Three Dog Night), but it's a odd number so it meets the requirement. There were a bunch of Ring-Billed Gulls circling and feeding at the larger reservoir a few miles north of the previous location. A few good captures and a bit of cropping and I got something useful. Apparently a lot of bait fish were schooling there, as several cormorants were also feeding in the same area.

I just happened to be out and about today with my dog, enjoying the 70° spring day. I took a bunch of photos of a gaggle of honkers on this small pond about 15 miles from home. This shot happened to have just 3 in the frame, and I hadn't even checked to see what this week's theme was. Finally got a chance to get out with a new lens (Canon EF 100-400 L IS II) I bought a couple of months ago. Very pleased with it.
