Topaz Photo AI consolidates AI versions of Denoise, Sharpen, and Resize (Gigapixel) into one program. Scheduled for general release sometime in September the latest beta version (0.7.2) of Topaz Photo AI can be downloaded if you qualify from here: community.topazlabs.com/t/topaz-photo-ai-v0-7/34027

I've been through the shock and sadness of the sudden and unexpected passing of a loved one. My condolences to his parents for their loss. I hope they will take comfort in the efforts here to enhance one of their favorite photos of their son. In the quest to make the photo as large as possible without too much deterioration in quality I made some basic adjustments in tones and contrast and then ran the results through Topaz Gigapixel to 3x the original size. Then I did a crop to remove some distractions and also suppressed the background in term of clarity, contrast and luminance. My final step was to once again use Gigapixel to double the size of the enlargement. The final image is 7140 pixels wide by 9456 pixels tall (23.8"W x 31.52"H at 300 pixels/inch. I hope it may be of some use.

It looks like a soft drink bottle cap opener to me but that's my best guess.

"...I found the problem myself and was able to coax it back into action and here I am..." Buckskin, clearly you're a very self-reliant person, so one way or another like General MacArthur you will find a way to return (with or without a corncob pipe)!

Topaz Gigapixel update downloaded and installed. Thanks Sepiana, I appreciate your diligence in timely reporting of updates to image editing programs that many of us use.

Clive, you are working to a 19" dimension. If you spread 4,000 pixels across that length the resolution is 4000 pixels divided by 19 inches = 210.526 pixels per inch. Again working to a 19" dimension and a resolution of 240 pixels per inch then you will require 19 inches multiplied by 240 = 4,560 pixels.

Apparently Vicki and I were thinking along the same lines! I used 2X Topaz Gigapixel along with some other enhancements using NIK CEPro5 and the ACR filter in Photoshop 2022. I hope it may be of some use.
