Decided to see what wildlife I could find to shoot in the backyard with the 100-400 lens. Didn't have to go far for a damselfly on the potatoes and a young rabbit that was born under the garden shed a few weeks back and has yet to show any fear of people with cameras .... Tony

Another lotus blossom - stopped by the local garden with a lotus pond today and got lots of pics (it was a nice cool day for a change). One I posted for the weekly theme but this one I'm playing around using Color Efex Pro 4. Made me realise I needed a lesson and found the Anthony Morganti videos like this one. Still digesting the info but here's where I am so far: Tony

Here's another couple of photos I grabbed this morning in-between the rain showers: Have to agree with Helen - welcome to the thread and hope you get me thinking out of the box - I do like to crop but have a habit of thinking I have to include everything - the whole flower or all the washing line. Not so as you clearly demonstrate with your pics from today. Also glad to see the weather is improving over there (I have a SIL just outside Leicester) Tony

Another open flower - from a visit to a local lotus pond today - a windy day but caught this one in the transition from flower to seed pod. Tony

I used the new colorize filter in PS having twinned the face - first time I've tried it and was impressed that it picked some roughly appropriate colours. Tony

Garlic harvest time - here are a few hanging up to dry and cure - did once try braiding them but these are hardneck garlic over-wintered here and it doesn't work. Tony

My panels always come in too big.....but now my RAW panel is too small. tonyw / fotofrank .....what dimensions do you use when adding your RAW panel? I won't be much help as I'm on a PC with Windows 10 and use a program called SnagIt to grab whatever part of the screen I want - so the dimensions depend on the screen resolution and my Basic panel will be around 500x250 pixels with my screen resolution set at 1920x1080. Nice to find an open dipladenia flower today - this plant has survived two winters in the basement, infestations of aphids and several radical prunes but outside today it looked in the prime of life! Tony

That's a fun RAW image to play with - here's where I got so far: Started by cropping and tweaking the perspective to straighten the walls - decided to concentrate on the store fronts and cropped out the end wall. Then basic adjustments in LR - mainly clarity, dehaze and texture to get rid of the haze. Here's where I finished up (and the adjustments I used) Then decided it needed a new sky so took it into Photoshop and added one and also as I'd been playing around with the Panos Cartoonizer action I tried it and decided to use it at 30% in Overlay to add an extra bit of crispness - so here's where that finished up: Tony

From the Cornell Lab Website - an excellent website for all things 'bird' Go right to see the molting male photo- he ain't gonna get any lovin' with that look Goldfinches
Off topic but the Merlin app available from Cornell is great - am really enjoying the recent sound addition. Hold up a phone when you hear a bird and it tells you what it is. Seems to be remarkably accurate. Tony

Have to agree with Sepiana that Panos actions are the best. Here's one I just did with the Cartoons and Pop Art action. I did do it in Photoshop CC but I'm sure the Elements version would give a similar result. Tony
